ROCK
Quite simply, the Rock is Jesus and the knowledge of who He is. Its placement as the primary portion of the name is a reflection of the proper order of things. Jesus is at the start and at the core of all we stand for and all we do. This is supported by the following scriptures:
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer.” (Psalm 18:2) = “Who is the rock except our God?” (Psalm 18:46) “On this rock I will build my church.” (Matt 16:18) “Rock of my salvation.” (Psalm 62:6) “Lay the foundation upon a rock” (Luke 6:48) “There is no rock like our God” (1 Sam. 2:2) “Christ is the Rock” (1 Cor. 10:4) The revelation of the Rock, deliverance, healing and discipleship are the focus of Spiritual Conditioning within the ROCKSalt approach, and represent both the greatest commandment and the source of your intrinsic value. The orange/yellow color in the logo is also intended to represent the fire of Holy Spirit baptism. |
Salt
Salt represents the talents and opportunities gifted to Christ followers. As a result, it also represents both the great commission and your instrumental value. Salt seasons, preserves and nourishes. If the Rock focuses on faith, then Salt focuses on faith in action. This is inspired by the following scriptures:
“You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its flavor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled on by people! You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden. People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven.” (Matt 5:13-16) “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.” (Mark 9:50) “Salt is good, but if salt loses its flavor, how can its flavor be restored? It is of no value for the soil or for the manure pile; it is to be thrown out. The one who has ears to hear had better listen!” (Luke 14:34-35) Salt is the focus of Christian Coaching the helps the light shine within the ROCKSalt approach. |
The Horse logo represents the church body, and the individuals who make up the body of Christ. It also represents the mentality and focus we are to have as the body of Christ. We are to be not only prepared to charge into the spiritual battle, but fearless, bold in our faith and in our calling, and ready to leap at the sound of the trumpet. This grows even more important as the end time nears since it is upon a horse (on His church) which Christ will return. In short, we are to prepare the way. This is inspired by the following verses:
“Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a flowing mane? Do you make it leap like a locust, striking terror with its proud snorting? It paws fiercely, rejoicing in its strength, and charges into the fray. It laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; it does not shy away from the sword. The quiver rattles against its side, along with the flashing spear and lance. In frenzied excitement it eats up the ground; it cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds. At the blast of the trumpet it snorts, ‘Aha!’ It catches the scent of battle from afar, the shout of commanders and the battle cry.” (Job 39:19-35)
“A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory is from the Lord” (Proverbs 21:31)
“The Lord answered, ‘If you have raced on foot against men and they have worn you out, how will you be able to compete with horses?’” (Jeremiah 12:5)
“Then I saw heaven opened and here came a white horse! The one riding it was called “Faithful” and “True,” and with justice he judges and goes to war…The armies that are in heaven, dressed in white, clean, fine linen, were following him on white horses.” (Revelation 19:11 & 14)
