The purpose of ROCKSalt is not an attempt to introduce a formula or approach that inserts the notion that we must act a certain way or do certain things in order to be saved or loved by Jesus; as we are justified by faith and not works. Nor is ROCKSalt or any area of focus intended to place religion over relationship with Jesus. Instead, if we are to be like the horse is described in Job 39:19-25 - fearless, bold in our faith and in our calling, prepared to charge forward - then the purpose of ROCKSalt is similar to that of a horse trainer who nurtures and trains a horse for a job, a race, or for battle.
ROCKSalt focuses on 7 primary areas in order to help individuals connect with Christ, appreciate who He made them to be, identify and develop their giftings as well as their areas of influence, and mature into relational and productive members who can positively impact those areas of influence.
